Landsberg am Lech (19 March 2006)
Landsberg am Lech (Landsberg on Lech) is a town in Southwest Bavaria, about 50km drive from Munich. The town is noted for its prison that housed Adolf Hitler when he was imprisoned in 1924 and wrote the book "Mein Kempf", but I thought the Lechwehr was much more interesting.
The Lechwehr is an artificial waterfall made of 5 steps on the River Lech.

The Lechwehr

Lechwehr with the town in the backdrop

Done away with the tree now

How could I resist? :D

From ground level

The town

House with fresco paintings

Giant Easter eggs

Nice day, nice weather, so what's missing?

The other side of the Lechwehr

Kids playing in the snow...

While their parents enjoy a nice cup of coffee outside by the River Lech
