Downtown Munich

OK, here's what many of you ladies out there are interested in, the main shopping district! Basically, its the stretch from Karlsplatz to Marienplatz (pronounced Marin-platz), although Marienplatz is generally known as the city center.

So here's the view, starting from Karlsplatz:

On Saturdays, the place is really crowded because everyone is out shopping. The law states that shops are to follow the Christian Sabbath Day, so they are not allowed to open, except for tourist attractions and eateries. That's why everyone does their shopping on Saturday.
