Nürnberg (11 March 2006)
Famous for the Nürnberger sausages and, more recently, being the rally grounds of the NSDAP (Nazi Party), Nürnberg is a city located in the region of Franconia on the river Pegnitz, still within Bavaria. It's a 3-hour ride by train on non-ICE lines. In Christmas, there is the Christkindlesmarkt which is a German version of our pasar malam. While I did not have the opportunity to visit the Nazi Party Rally Grounds or the Nürnberg Palace of Justice, where the Nuremberg Trials were held, I had to travel to one place: The Deutches Rotes Kreuz museum

The Frauenkirche in Nürnberg

The Beautiful Fountain. I made a wish there

The Hauptmarkt (Main Market), where the Christkindlesmarkt will be in December

View down the dirty Pegnitz River

That's the house of some famous person (artist I think)

The Lorenzkirche in Nürnberg

As, if not more, crowded than Marienplatz

A street stall very common in Germany

Going down to the U-Bahn Station

The train station here is much better than Munich's

Notice the mailbox is the red cross?

Ambulance park

Watchtower at the perimeter of the old city

A frontal of Lorenzkirche
